Coprolite, Fossilised Dinosaur Dung, for Ancestral Magick

Coprolites are fossilised faeces from dinosaurs that lived in the Cretaceous period. They are quite rare because they tend to decay at a fast rate. Coprolites vary greatly in appearance. The beautiful piece of coprolite you will receive is approximately 7cm long and 4cm wide. 

These outstanding specimens were petrified around 146-66 million years ago. The oldest known coprolites date back to around 480 million years ago. Fossilised dung gives us a lot of information about what dinosaurs ate and their internal systems. Tooth marks on bits of bone found in the coprolite can tell us how the animal killed its prey.

It's hard to tell which dinosaur the faeces belonged to because the coprolites aren't usually found where the dinosaur's skeleton is found. Under a powerful microscope, scientists can tell what kind of plants were around many millions of years ago and assess whether they were different from the plants we have now.
